When I went on my first juice fast ever in 2010 the goal was weightloss. I lost weight and also discovered that all the joint and muscle pain nearly vanished. As I implemented foods back into my diet, I discovered gluten, soy and corn can very quickly bring the pain and inflammation back.

Currently, I am eating a pretty clean diet, free of soy, corn, and gluten. I also have pain and inflammation though and I am trying to figure out why. The only thing that I can come up with is that in November I had a cone beam x-ray done on my whole mouth. I went to a Systemic Dentist and the result of the x-ray showed a cyst at the base of a root canal.

I was surfing through facebook and saw that a gentleman had his root canal tooth removed recently. He said his joint pain and inflammation is gone. To have my Systemic Dentist pull the tooth it will be $4500 so I am saving up for the surgery.

I currently take this product for pain.

It works pretty good but doesn’t completely cut out all the inflammation. I was looking into something else and ran across Quercetin. Quercetin is a flavonoid and powerful antioxidant that you can find in apples, onions, citrus fruits, blueberries, kale, sweet potato, green tea, and red wine.

I have not tried Quercetin as a supplement yet. However, I will be increasing my intake of blueberries, apples, kale and sweet potato. I already eat onions, can’t drink Green Tea due to SVT, and wine makes me feel crappy. I will order some on Amazon this week and give an update in a month or so sharing my results. If you are feeling pain why not give Quercetin a try?
